Li Chenhao, General Manager from Jiangsu Oceantex Fiber Co., Ltd, delivered his report of Development of hollow-conjugated recycled PSF and outlook.
Mr. Li presented the report from the development conclusion of recycled fiber, challenges faced and future prospect.
Development conclusion: The development of hollow-conjugated recycled PSF has undergone a process from quantitative to qualitative changes, accumulating decades of development experience and gradually forming new productivity. Market behaviors and supply-demand relationships have also changed accordingly.
Challenges faced: Currently, the industry faces challenges such as scarcity of regenerated resources, rejuvenation of the virgin polyester industry, and commercialization of the concept of regeneration. Additionally, internal and external competition has intensified, domestic production capacity continues to increase, internal strife is severe, external chemical fiber capacity is expanding, trade barriers are strengthening, and export competitiveness is weakening.
Future prospects: It is expected that the polyester industry will develop in the future, with polyester fibers dominating among chemical fibers. However, the recycling rate of waste polyester fibers in China remains low. It is crucial to transform the traditional resource-consuming economic model based on principles of "reduction, reuse, and resource utilization." High-quality production will be essential for the survival and profitability of enterprises. In the future, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation with research institutions to jointly develop new varieties and functional products, thereby enhancing product competitiveness.
