Ms. Wang 's presentation covers IKEA's current development status and sustainable development strategies for textiles.

She introduced IKEA's supply chain layout and procurement situation in 63 global markets. The East Asia region, including China, South Korea, and Japan, has about 460 partners and 800 employees, responsible for managing all procurement business units and regional teams. IKEA's main procurement source countries include China, Poland, and Italy, with a total of 1,600 suppliers, of which the East Asia region accounts for 25.3% of global procurement share.

The presentation emphasized IKEA's sustainable development strategy, which aims to achieve the goal of "benefiting people and the planet," covering areas such as fairness and equality, circular and climate-friendly practices, and healthy and sustainable living. IKEA plans to use over 95% recyclable or renewable materials by 2030. Currently, recycled polyester accounts for 30% of the total fiber consumption in IKEA products and 20% of the total carbon dioxide emissions.

Specific measures to optimize the supply chain, implement sustainable development goals, enhance technological innovation, and strengthen market competitiveness were discussed. IKEA will ensure the stability and sustainability of its supply chain through an efficient, transparent, and traceable supply chain management system. A detailed sustainable development action plan will be developed, with clear goals and timelines to ensure smooth implementation of various measures.

Finally, it was mentioned that IKEA will increase investment in research and development, promote technological innovation, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of resource recycling, improve laws, regulations, and standards, and emphasize environmental and social responsibilities at the recycling end, to extend the journey of material recycling in IKEA products.
