Zhao Li, vice CEO of Hangzhou Best, presents his report of Analysis on China’s recycled chemical fiber industry in 2017 and outlook for 2018
Firstly, Mr. Zhao put forward three phenomena in recycled chemical fiber companies: profit good for functional, differentiated, exclusive products, like filling, and non-ferrous, while other conventional varieties have no profit or even loss; shortage of feedstock supply; some enterprises ready to enter international market.
Then, Mr. Zhao delivers his report in three part.
In the first part, he analyzed the factors affecting industry operation: policy, feedstock, new changes in enterprises and other influencing factors.
In the second part, Mr. Zhao analyzed the industry in 2017. Profits rose first and then declined in the first half year of 2017, and in the second half year, profits rose and stepped lower in end year. Output and operating rate kept steady after consolidation.
In the third part, Mr. Zhao made a forecast on recycled chemical fiber industry in 2018. In the first half of 2018, as environmental campaign intensified, shortage of feedstock ever widened, recycled polyester fiber was replaced by virgin fibers and prices showed mainly stable. In the second half of 2018, as more re-PET chip is imported to bridge the shortage, the prices of recycled polyester fibers may go downward.
